Kulturföreningen Botaton bildades 1985, och är sedan 1991 ägare till en fastighet, granne med Kalknäs skola. I huset var under många år mycket aktiviteter med många teatergrupper, mest barn och ungdom.
Det fanns då anställd personal, och även ett samarbete med Kalknäs skola.
Ett stort arrangemang var ”GNISTOR-ett spel om människan i järnets tid”.
Det uppfördes på Gålsjö bruk somrarna 1991 och -92, och var både välbesökt och uppskattat. Verksamheten är nu på en annan nivå, men föreningen lever vidare, för dagen med en barnteatergrupp.
The cultural association Botaton was founded in 1985, and since 1991 is the owner of a property, next door to Kalknäs school. In the house for many years there were many activities with many theater groups, mostly children and young people. There was then employed staff, and also a collaboration with Kalknäs school. A major event was "GNISTOR - a game about man in the iron age". It was erected at Gålsjö mill in the summers of 1991 and -92, and was both well attended and appreciated. The business is now on a different level, but the association lives on, for the day with a children's theater group.
